“The ‘Harleys’ are coming!”

Get your earplugs out. The Harley's are coming!

Imagine a small waterfront community of only a few thousand people managing to accommodate 30 times its typical population. For a one day event!

10 weeks from now Port Dover, Ontario, will be overrun with motorcycles, leather vendors, food booths, t-shirt vendors and motorcycle enthusiasts of all kinds.

May 13th, 2011 marks the only Friday the 13th in this year and it promises to be a big one (these Harley weekends are held on as may Friday the 13ths as occur in any given year).

Last  August (2010), Port Dover saw about 30,000 motorcycles and almost 150,000 people descend on this small community of only 4,000 people for the largest one day festival of its kind. It's the kind of thing that takes year long planning to bring it all together in a fairly seamless event. Hotel rooms and even rooms in private homes are booked years in advance and typically there isn't a room to be had within 40 miles.
